Cleaning a Manual or Standard Clean Oven

We don't recommend using commercial oven cleaners; however, if you choose to use one:

  1. Choose a commercial cleaner made for use in standard clean ovens and follow product label instructions.
  2. Apply cleaner. The use of rubber gloves is recommended, unless you have an allergy to latex or rubber.
  3. Wipe or rub lightly on stubborn stains. The area around the broil element requires a little more time to clean.
  4. Rinse well.
  5. Be sure to wipe off any oven cleaner that gets on the thermostat bulb. (Bulb looks like a small diameter bare copper wire inside the oven on the back or side wall, near the top of the oven.
